Best-Selling Creations at Art and Roses 2022

The Boise art show, Art and Roses 2022, was held at Julia Davis Park’s Rose Garden.

For a while, it was tentative because of weather forecasts that threatened rain and lightning. However, it turned out to be a smashing success, with only minimal rain, and the cool weather was pleasant and not too hot!

As expected, sales of my “All Occasions Card 8 Packs” from Gretty Beth Arts were excellent. If you’re curious, below are several best-selling high-quality reproductions of my paintings on paper.

Owl On Cedar

“Owl On Cedar” African mahogany, pyrography, milkpaint, collage Original 9″x14″ High quality reproductions available. Original available. Contact me here with your interest.

“Owl on Cedar” was admired for its pyrography, and owls are good luck! This visitor in my parent’s backyard was an opportunity for artwork that I couldn’t miss!

Parable of the Sower

“Parable of the Sower” Carved basswood, ink. Original 24.5″x15.5″
Original sold. High quality reproductions available.

“Parable of the Sower” was a best seller. This painting is personal to me. I feel that much has been given to me, so that I have formed strong roots. Because of that, much is expected from me: to bear generous fruits that I tend as a “gardener.” Art is free, even from the intentions of the artist, so this image was meaningful to others with their own interpretations of the gardening scene.

Joy to the World

“Joy to the World” Ink and woodblock print on paper. Original 16″x21″. Original sold. High quality prints available.

“Joy to the World” piqued much curiosity as to its method of its creation, and was a best seller. It is an Advent piece on paper, created by a large, two toned woodblock print over a painting, and additional work with gold paint.

Kestrel

“Kestrel” Ink and woodburning on carved basswood. Original 16.125″x22.875″. Original NFS. High quality reproductions on paper available.

“Kestrel” is a fan favorite. The story behind it is about the construction and development where I live. It is pushing the wildlife out into smaller and more cramped, shrinking habitats. The destruction is captured symbolically by woodburning.

On the other hand, there’s the creation of new situations, and nature often finds a way, symbolized by painting over the burning. Wildlife is often the loser with development, but the colors in this painting do honor to the wildlife, symbolized by the kestrel.

In addition to the Art and Roses show that featured these best-selling high-quality reproductions on paper, here’s a sneak peek of photos of my newest show in the hallway on the first floor outside conference rooms at the Riverside Hotel.

The display will be there until the end of June before moving upstairs above the lounge.
