Joyful 2022 was a success! It raised awareness of child abuse and raised money ($6,100) for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance!
Here are several Gretty Beth Art’s best sellers from the show.
About this painting: I’ve been Artist in Residence at my church since 2017. “Longest Night” was created for the winter solstice in December, when my church wanted to recognize that not everyone is in a merry state of mind during the holidays, perhaps due to loss of a loved one, loss of a pet or a job, or other losses. There’s deep darkness. But the sun is slowly peeking through, and the daylight will return! We’re living in challenging times, and everyone needs a little compassion.
I actually sold out of the high quality reproductions of “Longest Night”, with demand for more. I’m selling more high quality reproductions on my website here. And if you’re interested, you can contact me about purchasing the basswood original.
Part of the inspiration that being Artist in Residence brings is also a celebration of Holy Week which includes Easter. Another high quality reproduction I also almost sold out of, that I created with Easter in mind, is “Heron”.
The colors of “Heron” are especially saturated and lush for Easter. The habitat for this beautiful creature is shrinking as Boise develops. And this is a reminder to be good stewards of the awesome and fragile earth we call home.
The original of this painting is sold, but I’m still selling 18×24 high quality reproductions on my website here.
In addition to selling high quality reprodutions of paintings, I sold original art greeting cards with watercolors, woodblock prints, drawings and woodburnings, and collage. Here is a video about one of my “Gretty Beth Arts All Occasions Cards 8 Pack: Appreciation“
Stay tuned for another best-selling “All Occasions Cards 8 Pack: Thinking of You” in future posts on Facebook and Instagram!
These cards, as their names indicate, are very versatile for Father’s Day, Thank Yous, “I’m Sorry”, Friendship, Graduations, House Warming, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Birthdays, New Directions, and other celebrations and occasions. If you’re interested, check them out here.
For everyone who was able to visit the Joyful show this year, Thank You! And it will be even bigger in the future, raising awareness of child abuse.
And as always, thank you everyone for your support of the arts!
